 Who understands the home decorating needs better than the individual homeowner? The staff at Iron Monger! We are the Parishes: Dave, Kim and Ashley, operating a family-run business specializing in custom iron items. We are passionate about helping our customers get the desired individuality they are looking for in home decor. In 1998, after the birth of our daughter Ashley, we decided to open a store at our current location to enable Kim to care for Ashley instead of sending her off to daycare. We rented the space initially and operated under the name of 'The Bashful Barn Annex' where we sold small antiques, various types of architectural items and ornamental concrete along with providing antique restoration services. As the interest in iron grew, we decided to make a change in our retail to match the growing demand and explore a new avenue. We acquired the building in 2002, and shortly thereafter changed the name to Iron Monger, gearing our retail towards iron while continuing to provide antique restoration services. When the demand for custom iron grew we phased out the antique restoration and concentrated our efforts on the iron business. We design and build custom iron or aluminum items on site and have a small gift shop where we sell a selection of indoor/outdoor ornamental iron. We also added a variety of antique furniture and items in the past few years to keep with Dave's original roots in that business. We hope to eventually sell only product that we design and produce in our own workshop.
